VHG – Rivers of The Spirit

LESSONS ON THE HOLY SPIRIT – PART 2

  1. In Reviewing Genesis 2:10, Psalm 36:8-9, And Revelation 22:1-2, Have You Thought About the Idea That Wherever God Is Rivers Are Always Mentioned? What Comes to Mind When You Think of a River, Especially in These Scriptures? What Would You Say Are the Rivers of His Pleasure? Can You Identify Any Other Instances in Scripture Where a River Played an Important Role?
  2. Using The Idea of The River, Pastor Spoke of The Fact That God’s People Are Portrayed in The Scripture as Being “Watered Ground.” What Does This Mean to You Personally, And Have There Been Times When You Felt Dry Within? In Those Dry Seasons How Did You Restore Your Sense or Feeling of Being Watered?
  3. In John 7:37-39 Jesus Himself Invites Us to Believe on Him So That Rivers of Living Water Would Flow from His Innermost Being into Our Innermost Being. Can You Say That You Have Experienced These Living Waters?  Has This Initial Experience Left You Desiring More? If You Have Not Had This Experience, Would You Like to Experience This During Our Session This Evening?
  4. According To Ephesians 5:17-21, Worship, Gratitude, And Submission Are All Signs That a Constant Flow of The Spirit Is at Work Within the Believer’s Life. How Has the Holy Ghost Inspired Your Worship? Do You Find That Gratefulness Springs Forth Out of Your Life Because Of The Holy Spirit?
  5. When It Comes to Submission, It Is Not Always Easy to Understand or To Embrace. How Would You Define Submission? Now, Whether to Your Employer, Or Your Spouse, Or A Fellow Believer, Is Submission an Easy Practice for You as Someone Who Is Spirit-Filled? Are There Areas in Your Life Where Submission Is Difficult?
  6. Once Again, We Come Back to the Subject of Being Filled with All the Fulness of God. This Is the Eternal River of God Through the Spirit Making All Things Possible for Us. Let’s Spend Our Remaining Moments Sharing Thoughts on The Meaning of These Words: “Now unto Him That Is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above All That We Can Ask or Think, According to The Power That Works in Us.” [Eph. 3:20].
