House To House – The Power Of Small Groups
[HAGGAI 2:6-9]
1. REFORMATION:
- Reformation Has Always Accompanied God’s People, [Isa. 53:6].
- Examples: The Book of Judges; Jesus; Protestantism; Azusa; Rhema.
- Reformation Makes Us Better Because It Draws Us Closer to God, And the Closer We Get to God, The Better We Become [2 Cor. 3:18].
2. REFORMATION & DISCIPLESHIP:
- Key: There’s A Growing Dissatisfaction with The Mega Church Model.
- Why: We’re Called to Be Disciples & Disciples Are Not Made on Sundays.
- Truth 1: God’s Original Plan Has Not Changed, [Gen. 1:18; Matt. 28:19-20].
- Truth 2: Reformation Must Be Followed by Discipleship!
3. THE OLD TESTAMENT & SMALL GROUPS:
- Israel A Nation Of 1000’s Divided into Tribes, Families & Houses, [Num. 1:2-3].
- Counting Israel = Giving Account in Small Groups, [Num. 2:1-2,34].
- Accountability Is Easier in Small Groups [Josh.7:14].
- Families Are Forged in Small Groups, [Ps. 68:6].
- Healthy Houses Form a Great Kingdom, [Ex. 19:6].
4. THE NEW TESTAMENT & SMALL GROUPS:
- When It Comes to Salvation, God Is Not Anti-Size [Acts 2:41; 4:4].
- Multitudes Enter into Houses for Teaching, [Acts 2:42]. Catechism
- Multitudes Enter into Houses for Fellowship, [Acts 2:44-46].
- House To House Leads to Daily Growth, [Acts 2:47].
